Amenities and how-tos

Security and Alarms
  • The house is equipped with a security alarm system, but it has been deactivated prior to your arrival.
  • The pool is also protected by an alarm. Learn how to deactivate it here.
  • Inside the house, a smoke detector is installed in the hallway leading to the sleeping area.

Good to know: the alarm visible outside, above the garage door, is a decoy device — a purely deterrent shell with no active function. Feel free to unhook it from the wall if it bothers you (night blinking, aesthetics).

WiFi Networks
  • Two networks have been set up for your convenience.
  • To connect, you can scan the following codes.
  • The same password applies to both networks: 0804572709
    • Toulon: for use inside the house
    • Toulon-EXT: for use by the pool

Sound System

La Mauricette is equipped with a Sonos sound system, featuring both a main speaker and a portable speaker, both installed in the living room.

Note : Optional but highly recommended: download the Sonos app (free and no registration required)

TV and Cable

La Mauricette provides you with a large-screen television equipped with a CANAL+ subscription.

To start a program:

  • Turn on the TV → ⏻
  • Turn on the CANAL+ box → ⏻
  • ◀With the TV controller, open the left panel, then open “Connected Devices” and select “Canal+” 🆗
  • Use the CANAL+ remote control to navigate through the different channels.

Note : The volume can be adjusted using either remote control.

Note : From the TV’s main menu → ⌂, find CANAL+ from the Peripherals Menu.

Air Conditioning and Heating

The house is equipped with a reversible air conditioning system for your comfort in both summer and winter. Remote controls are available in each air-conditioned room (living room, master suite, blue bedroom).

Note : When the air conditioning is running, please keep doors and windows closed for optimal efficiency and to prevent condensation. Ceiling fans are available for natural ventilation if you prefer fresh air.

Ventilation in the Bedrooms
  • Each bedroom is equipped with a silent ceiling fan.
    • The fan is controlled using the remote fixed on the wall in your room, just above the main light switch.
The Laundry Room (aka. cafoutche)

In Provençal, the laundry room is called the “Cafoutche.” This room, located behind the kitchen, contains everything you need for laundry and grocery storage. At La Mauricette, it also allows direct access to the pool and the summer kitchen located behind the house.

Note : To ensure proper functioning of the machine, please use liquid detergent only.

- Dryer

Note : Please remember to empty the water reservoir and clean the lint filter after each use to ensure the machine functions properly.

Note : Remember that there are clotheslines available outside in the summer, behind the orange tree terrace.

Enjoying the View

La Mauricette offers a unique panorama of the Toulon harbor, the surrounding hills, and on clear days, even the distant islands. In the morning or at sunset, the view is vibrant, ever-changing, and almost meditative.

What you might see…

  • Submarines surfacing off Saint Mandrier
  • The Charles-de-Gaulle aircraft carrier majestically returning to port
  • Corsican ferries and the civil guard’s helicopters

And at night…

The night sky is often clear, protected from light pollution by the sea on one side and the Maures mountains on the other.

Lie down for a moment on the terrace, look up, and let yourself be amazed by the brightness of the stars.

Binoculars Available

To enhance your experience, we provide:

  • A pair of standard binoculars
  • A pair of night vision binoculars You will find them in the right-hand drawer of the dining room sideboard.

Binoculars usage: please handle with care — these items are precious.

  • Always use the neck strap and teach children to do the same.
  • Do not allow children under 5 years old to handle them without supervision.
  • Store the equipment back in its drawer after use.
Linens

The Locazen concierge service provides each bedroom with a complete set of linens, including:

  • Fitted sheets

  • Flat sheets

  • Pillowcases

  • Bath towels

  • Hand towels

  • Dish towels In addition, La Mauricette equips its beds with:

  • Mattress protectors

  • Quality mattress toppers

  • Lightweight comforters and duvet covers (available in the closets)

Tableware

It is divided among three locations in the house:

  • The kitchen for everyday dishes
  • The living room buffet for cocktail and digestif service
  • The living room sideboard for aperitif glasses and special serving dishes
Household Waste

Garbage must be taken out at the end of the day and is collected early the next morning.

Non-recyclable waste collection:

  • Take them out: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (evenings) Recyclable waste collection:

  • Paper/cardboard | yellow bins: Thursday evening

  • Plastics | gray bins: Thursday evening

  • Travel cot (0–3 years)
  • Mosquito net for the travel cot All these items are available in the Cafoutche (laundry room), in the upper cupboard and near the water heater for the cot.
For Pets

Equipment for your furry friends has also been provided to save you from traveling with too much:

  • Dog bowl
  • Cat bowl
  • Covered litter box with an odor filter.

Note: Please tell the Conciergerie before you arrive if you need the litter box for your cat.
