Rules

Noise, trash and pets

Elevating the Game for Everyone’s Peace of Mind!

Welcome to your home away from home for the holidays! To make sure your stay is as sweet as those evenings on the terrace, here are a few friendly house rules. Nothing too strict — please read them!

1. Respect for the Neighborhood

We love evenings with friends, but the neighbors love their sleep. Please keep noise levels reasonable, especially at night.

2. Smokers, Outside Only!

Smoking is allowed outdoors only. And the cigarette butts? Never in the garden, flower pots, or decorative shells (yes, it’s happened before…). Covered ashtrays are provided in the Cafoutche.

3. AC On, Windows Closed

When the AC is on, please keep doors and windows closed. If you’d like some fresh air, ceiling fans are available.

4. Retractable Awning — Handle with Care

Please retract the terrace awning in case of wind or rain, or simply before leaving the house. It’s lovely, but not made for storms.

5. Before You Leave — A Quick Check

Before heading out, please make sure all five exterior accesses are closed: the front door, the Cafoutche (laundry room) door, and the two patio doors (living room and master suite). It only takes 30 seconds and saves a lot of worry.

6. Toilet Paper Only

Only toilet paper should go in the toilet. Sanitary products, cotton pads, wipes, and other potential cloggers should be thrown in the bin next to the toilet. See trash collection days on the House page.

7. No Object in the Pool

The pool loves swimmers, not toys, goggles, or pebbles. Please help keep the water clear and protect the liner and pool furniture.

8. Pets Welcome — But Respect, Please

You are responsible for cleaning up any mess your pet leaves in the garden and for ensuring that no traces (including scratches on furniture or textiles) are left behind at your departure. A pleasant stay for everyone begins with respect for the space.

9. Pool Safety

The pool must be used with care, and the alarm is there to protect everyone — including pets who, like children, can fall in and struggle to get out. The alarm is at your discretion (see how to activate and deactivate it), but please remember it’s there for the safety of all — both humans and animals!

10. Pool Access Is Your Responsibility

During your stay, you are responsible for controlling access to the pool. It is crucial to prevent any unauthorized person, including strangers, from entering. In the event of an accident or drowning, legal responsibility could fall on the occupants, highlighting the importance of vigilance.

11. Gate, Pedestrian Gate, and Key Management

Please always lock the main gate and pedestrian gate when leaving the house. We strongly recommend using the key box to avoid misplacing the single set of keys provided.

12. Parking

Parking is limited to one car in the driveway. If you arrive with more vehicles, please park them on the street — it’s free, and it keeps the neighbors’ access clear. Good neighbors start with good parking!

☀️ With these few simple rules, we wish you a wonderful stay at La Mauricette!
